"Part of my screen isn't working!"

"Some of the buttons work, some don't. Help!" This is a solvable Chrome Extension incompatibility issue.

This is a relatively common issue. You might find, for example, that "nothing is clickable in the bottom 1/3 of the screen".

This is almost always an incompatibility issue with certain Chrome Extensions you're using. Fortunately, it's highly fixable!

Common ones that cause issues include:

  • Testimonial.to

  • Scribe

  • Apollo.io

If you're not using this extension: disable the extension entirely, or uninstall it!

If you are using the extension, we can instead try to curtail what sites it has access to.

Here's how to fix it:

Let's take Testimonial.to, for example.

  1. Find the Testimonial.to extension.

  2. Under "Site Access", you'll usually see that it shows "On all sites".

  3. Change this to "On specific sites", and type in the names of the sites you want it to have access to.

    1. Note: do not put in "useaware.co" here as that defeats the purpose.

  4. Alternatively, you can just change this to "On click", if you want the extension to only activate when you click the extension icon.
